Vocal classification is according to your nicest sounding singing range; not how high you can go.
Some main voice parts:
Female- Soprano
The highest female voice is the soprano.
Typical range: From middle C and goes up 2 octaves
Female- Alto
The lowest of the female voices is the contralto or alto for short.
Typical range: From G below middle C and goes up 2 octaves
Male- Tenor
The highest of the male voices is the tenor.
Typical range: C below middle C and goes up to C above the middle C
Male- Bass
The lowest and heaviest of the male voices is the bass.
Typical range: E below the bass clef and goes up to E above the middle C
So, which part do you belong to? :)
