FAST AND FURIOUS 5 : A review

Stars: Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster
Written by Chris Morgan, Gary Scott Thompson
Directed by Justin Lin

After 3 sequels from the every 1st The Fast And The Furious (which made a hit box-office movie), all fans and car enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating for this 4th sequel- Fast and Furious Five. Well, It certainly did not fail to disappoint fans with its action sequences and but of course, the gorgeous automobiles.

The sequel begins with Dominic (Vin Diesel) being sentenced to prison term and with the help of Mia (Jordana Brewster) and car thief Brian (Paul Walker), he fled to Rio to take refuge. The plot continues to unfold and the team decides to take down Brazil’s most formidable gangster, by robbing him of $100 million dollars. And at the same time, FBI agent (Dwayne Johnson) was sent to track them down and to bring them in.

While the acting put up by the cast may not be exactly the best we have seen, the sets and stunts are definitely worth the ticket. We have Diesel and Walker jumping from a convertible before plunging off a bridge, a chase that has 2 cars pulling a huge bank vault down the streets etc.

Overall, I would give it 4/5 stars for its action but sadly a 2/5 stars for its overall plot and acting.

*Thank you Omy for the screening premiere.
